Moved Out and Grown UpWell since I last posted my life has changed a lot. I recently transfered from my part time job to a full time job as a unit clerk. That means better pay, health coverage, and tutition rembursement! It's the only full time job where you work 3 days a week! The bad part? 12 hour shifts...blah.
I also moved out of my mom's place and in with the boy. Yup, finally I'm in a committed relationship. The apartment is nice. It's quiet, there's a pool and it's literally next door to my job. Pretty sweet.
There is some adjusting though..I've gained 7 pounds since I've moved in. All the late night snacking with the boy. So I'm on a diet and cutting back on my snacking. Eating more fiber and working out more. Relationships do that I guess. In return for my new found sense of adulthood, I have decided to finish up college part time since I'm almost done and I cannot afford full time anymore. My job has tutition rembursement which will help me pay for classes. Hurrah! I also have forgone my love of shopping. Places like Target and Forever 21 have become my new loves for clothes. Gone are the days of splurging at Nordstrom's and Coach. lol. It was nice but I think this will help me appreciate what I have more. I admit I was a bit shallow back then. But now looking around Target has some cute things. Still though..I like to splurge on a nice pair of shoes every now and then. (shh don't tell my boyfriend!) Not to mention as long as mom still works in beauty, I shall always have free makeup! So tell me ladies....have any of you had a hard time adjusting to adulthood?
